L.R. is an actor-comedian-creator based in Toronto. Originally from Waterloo, L.R. grew up playing violin and piano, and then moved away from home for her education (B.A.H., Queen’s, M.A., U of T). As an actor, she is a graduate of the George Brown Theatre School, and has enjoyed playing a wide range of Shakespearean roles including King John, Feste, Pompey, Touchstone (Shakespeare BASH’d), Dogberry, Cordelia, the Nurse (Hart House), and Julia in Two Gents (Shakespeare in the Ruff). She also performed in the premiere of George F Walker’s Her Inside Life at the Assembly Theatre. Mostly recently in April 2020, she won the Comedic Category of the Toronto Monologue Slam online acting competition.
As a comedian, she trained in sketch comedy through the Second City Conservatory. When she’s not performing, she enjoys teaching ESL and trying new local, craft beers.
